Host Family Programme,
We provide superb host families who will make you feel extremely welcome and comfortable, helping you to understand and experience their colorful culture. Our host families are trained on how to handle and deal with their new family members (students/volunteers). The host families are also provided with all the needed resources to cater properly for their guests and to be able to accommodate vegetarians and other specific or peculiar nutritional needs of volunteers.
Your homestay is likely to be the highlight of your visit to Ghana. There is no better way to learn first hand about life in Ghana than by living among the local people and participating in their lives through helping with chores, cooking and other activities, and being treated as a member of the family. The friendships made while living with a family can last a lifetime. Many of our participants have felt they will remain a member of the family for the rest of their lives. The host families are located in both rural and urban areas and you will be placed according to your preference.
This program can be incorporated into any of our many other inbound programs such as drumming and dance, language, internship, or teaching and study programs.

Hope and Service to Mankind Foundation programs allow anyone wishing to volunteer overseas the opportunity to do so. We welcome volunteers who want to participate free of charge but on conditions (that the success of our projects largely depends on volunteer’s contribution in many different ways and membership fees as we are not funded by any donor agency at this time). Volunteers help raise funds, donate clothes, shoes, cash, books, computers, and other logistics for the success of our projects. Our team uses the maximum percentage of donations to contribute general materials and other resources to the project communities.
Hope and Service to Mankind Foundation are always looking for talented and experienced individuals to join our team. We work very differently to most organizations and are focused on such things as home/work balance, utilizing technology, and bringing on board typically disenfranchised groups. Simply tell us what you can bring to Hope and Service to Mankind Foundation as a volunteer.
